Rywire OBD0 to OBD1 Distributor Adapter - 1988-1991 Honda MPFI Chassis (Dis-0-1)
Product details
Description
Rywire Dis-0-1 is an OBD0 to OBD1 distributor adapter: it lets a 1988-1991 OBD0 MPFI Honda chassis plug into an OBD1 distributor, part of a typical OBD0 to OBD1 conversion when swapping in a newer engine.
Why This Distributor Adapter for Your Honda Swap
The Rywire Dis-0-1 is a distributor adapter that lets a 1988-1991 OBD0 MPFI Honda chassis plug into an OBD1 distributor during an OBD0 to OBD1 swap conversion.
- Versus cutting and splicing the factory plug: This OBD0 to OBD1 distributor adapter plugs in between the factory distributor plug and the distributor, so the chassis harness stays uncut and the change is reversible.
- Versus hunting down a matching-era distributor: This OBD0 to OBD1 distributor adapter lets you run the OBD1 distributor that came with your engine instead of finding an OBD0 distributor.
- Plan the computer: This OBD0 to OBD1 distributor adapter needs an OBD1, OBD2a or OBD2b engine computer. A B16A swap into a 1988-1991 CRX HF/Si also uses the Rywire OBD0 VTEC Sub-Harness.
Best for: A 1988-1991 OBD0 MPFI Honda chassis running an OBD1 distributor on an OBD1, OBD2a or OBD2b computer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which engine computer do I need?
An OBD1 distributor has to run on an OBD1, OBD2a or OBD2b computer. It will not work with an OBD0 computer.
What else do I need for an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion?
Usually an OBD1 computer adapter and, for a VTEC engine, the OBD0 VTEC Subharness. Email service@tunedbyshawn.com with your engine, chassis and ECU before ordering if you are unsure which configuration you need.
Can I run an OBD1 distributor on my OBD0 computer?
No. An OBD1 distributor needs an OBD1, OBD2a or OBD2b engine computer. The Rywire OBD0 to OBD1 distributor adapter handles the plug, not the computer.
For off-road and competition use only. Not legal for use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles.
