Rywire k-sub-race is a mil-spec standalone (race) chassis adapter for K-series engines. It replaces the factory interior wiring with a fuse/relay box, so a Rywire K-series harness or an OEM 2002-2004 RSX/EP3 harness can run in any car, including race and off-road builds that only need the engine wired. Run power out to the fan, fuel pump and ignition switch and the engine is ready to start.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this work with my Rywire K-Series Infinity harness?

No. Rywire says not to use this fuse box with an Infinity K harness. It is made for the factory-style K2-Base and K2-Mil-spec harnesses or the OEM RSX/EP3 harness.

Do I need the switch panel?

No, but the box is designed around the Rywire Switch Panel. With another switch panel you may need the mating Deutsch connector.

Do I need my car's interior harness?

No. The race adapter takes the place of the chassis adapter and interior wiring for the engine. You run leads to the fan, fuel pump, ignition switch and optional cluster. Email service@tunedbyshawn.com with your engine, chassis and ECU before ordering if you are unsure which configuration you need.

Should I use the Rywire K-series race chassis adapter or the regular K-series chassis adapter?

Use the race chassis adapter when the car has no interior harness to keep, such as a race, drag or off-road build. Use the Rywire K-Series Chassis Adapter (k-adapter) when you keep the factory interior harness in a street car.
