Rywire 1992-1995 Civic Race Chassis Harness, 14-Channel PDM - Engine Swap (chassis-harness-Honda-p14)
Product details
Description
Rywire chassis-harness-Honda-p14 is a complete race chassis harness with a 14-channel solid-state power distribution module (PDM) for Honda and Acura builds. It replaces fuses and relays with programmable outputs, plugs into Rywire engine swap harnesses (D/B/H, K-series and B/K standalone for Haltech) and can add plug-and-play front, rear and gauge cluster harnesses for Civic, CRX and Integra chassis. The harness is built with Tefzel wire, Deutsch and AMP connectors and split-sleeve loom so circuits are easy to re-route.
Why This 14-Channel PDM Race Chassis Harness for Your 1992-1995 Civic Swap
The Rywire chassis-harness-Honda-p14 race chassis harness replaces the factory chassis wiring and fuse box in a swapped 1992-1995 Civic with new Tefzel wiring and a 14-channel solid-state PDM.
- Versus stripping the factory chassis harness and fuse box: this Rywire PDM harness replaces 20+ year old street wiring with a fuse-less PDM pre-assigned for starter, coils, fuel pumps, fans, lights and engine computer.
- Versus wiring a race car from scratch: this Rywire chassis harness arrives finished, with Deutsch and AMP connectors, color-coded wires, a pin-out and schematic, and optional plug-and-play 1992-1995 Civic lighting harnesses.
- Versus fuses and relays: the PDM in this harness logs total and per-output current draw, and its outputs can be re-assigned in PC software instead of re-wired.
- Engine harness ready: this Rywire chassis harness plugs into Rywire D/B/H, K-series and B/K standalone (Haltech) engine harnesses, or any harness with the mating connector.
- PDM capacity: this 14-channel PDM has six 22 A outputs, eight 10 A outputs, nine switched inputs and a 120 A maximum; the programming cable is a separate add-on.
Best for: a dedicated 1992-1995 Civic race or track car with a Rywire engine harness. Street cars needing A/C should keep the factory harness. Different PDM size: see the 16-channel listing.
Vehicle Fitment
- Honda and Acura race cars, with plug-and-play lighting harness options for 1988-2000 Civic, 1988-1991 CRX and 1994-2001 Integra
- Plugs into Rywire D/B/H, K-series and B/K standalone-computer (Haltech) engine harnesses, or any harness with the mating connector
- Gauge cluster options for CAN digital displays (AIM, AEM, MoTeC etc.) and AP1/AP2 S2000 clusters
Features
- Moristech 14-channel solid-state, fuse-less PDM
- Six 22 A outputs, eight 10 A outputs, nine switched inputs, 120 A maximum
- PDM system weight about 4 lb
- Programmable outputs with PC software; outputs can be re-assigned by the user
- On-board data logging of total and per-output current draw
- Pre-programmed and pre-assigned out of the box, so no logic to learn before first start
- Tefzel wire with Deutsch and AMP connectors
- Color-coded wires and split-sleeve loom so circuits can be re-directed cleanly
- Plugs into Rywire engine harnesses or can be used universally
Pre-Configured Outputs and Inputs
- 22 A outputs: starter, coils, fuel pump 1 and 2, fan 1 and 2
- 10 A outputs: headlights/taillights, engine computer, right and left indicators, high beams, brake lights, spare front, spare rear
- Switched inputs (high or low active): master, fan, starter, brake light, headlight, fuel pump, high beam or water pump, indicators (right and left)
- Extra wires for fuel level sender, reverse lights, fault indicator, speed sensor, charge warning, check engine lamp, low oil warning, tach signal, service check, water gauge, battery supply (to master disconnect), computer memory power, ground and CAN high/low (keypad)
Choosing Options
- Headlights & Taillights: plug-and-play front and rear harnesses for the 1992-1995 Civic body styles listed (each adds $100), or Flying Leads / Other for color-coded flying lead wiring.
- Gauge Cluster, Engine Harness & Brake Switch: CAN-based digital dash (+$25), AP1 or AP2 S2000 cluster (+$100) or flying leads; the Rywire engine harness you are connecting (D/B/H, K-series, B/K standalone for Haltech, or a mating connector only); and a 2-pin brake switch plug, or 4-pin for cars with cruise control.
- Spare Output: what the spare PDM output is wired for: electric water pump, high beams, power window motor or other.
Recommended Add-Ons
- Rywire Water Resistant Mini USB PDM Comms Cable: for programming the PDM, 80 in long.
- Mechanical Products 175A Circuit Breaker: master kill or storage switch between the battery and the PDM power stud.
- Rywire PDM Switch Input Flying Lead Harness: wire your own switches to the PDM switch inputs.
- Rywire PDM Switch Input Mating Connector: build your own switch wiring that plugs into the harness.
- Rywire 6-Switch Mil-Spec Switch Panel: toggles for ignition, starter, fuel pump and fan control.
Add any of these from the Recommended Add-Ons list above. Each one is its own listing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this harness meant for a street car?
Not really. It is a stripped-down race system with no provision for daily-driver comforts.
Does it have air conditioning circuits?
No. There are no pre-wired A/C circuits.
Can it run power windows?
It can power them, but they are not pre-wired. Rywire recommends feeding power windows from a fused constant source and keeping them off the PDM harness.
Can I use an output for another pump or device?
Yes. If you only need one fan or one fuel pump, borrow the unused channel. The split-braid loom is there because Rywire expects you to re-direct some circuits.
How long does it take to build?
Each system is built to order and may have a lead time. Email service@tunedbyshawn.com with your engine, chassis and ECU before ordering if you are unsure which configuration you need.
Should I strip my factory 1992-1995 Civic chassis harness or buy a Rywire PDM race chassis harness?
Keep the factory harness on a street car that needs A/C and comforts; this race system has no A/C circuits. For a dedicated race car, the Rywire chassis-harness-Honda-p14 harness replaces the fuse box with a pre-configured 14-channel PDM and plugs into Rywire engine swap harnesses.
For off-road and competition use only. Not legal for use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles.
