BMW M50 / M52 / S50 / S52 Terminated Engine Harness — for Haltech Nexus R3

Dropping a BMW inline-six into your build? This terminated engine harness is purpose-configured to run the BMW M50, M52, S50 and S52 engines with the Haltech Nexus R3 ECU. Built to take the guesswork and the hours of pinning out of your swap, it delivers plug-in terminated connections for the engine, so you can get from box to running base tune faster.

This is an engine-swap harness. It's designed to wire up the BMW six-cylinder engine itself — ideal for swapping one of these engines into another chassis or custom build. It is not a plug-and-play harness for a factory E36 chassis on its own (see the chassis conversion option below).

Please note: the Haltech Nexus R3 ECU is not included and must be purchased separately. This harness is designed to work exclusively with the Nexus R3.

VANOS Control

This harness is configured as standard for BMW's single VANOS variable valve timing on the intake cam. These engines use a single cam position sensor, and the harness is wired accordingly for accurate, reliable timing control with the Nexus R3.

Dual VANOS Control (Optional Add-On)

Running a dual VANOS engine? Select the Dual VANOS Control option from the drop-down above. This adds the additional cam sensor wiring and configuration required to control variable valve timing on both the intake and exhaust cams. Because this involves extra work, it's offered as a separate add-on — leave it unselected for standard single VANOS setups.

E36 Chassis Conversion (Optional Add-On)

Running this in a factory E36 chassis (1992–2000)? Select the E36 Chassis Conversion option from the drop-down above. This adds the additional wiring and configuration work required to integrate the harness with the native E36 chassis. Because this involves extra work, it's offered as a separate add-on — leave it unselected if you're using this purely as an engine-swap harness in another chassis.

Note: This harness is configured specifically for the BMW M50/M52/S50/S52 engine and works exclusively with the Haltech Nexus R3 ECU. Please confirm your exact engine variant and fitment before ordering.
