The Zestek Racing USA OEM Hub Quick Release is that unit: functionally identical to the current SCX Quick Release, with the only difference being extra room in the base that once housed the OEM hub chipset. Same spring-loaded pogo-pin contact array, same CNC-machined anodized 7075 aluminum, same universal 6x70mm bolt pattern. If you're replacing the release on a legacy OEM or CAN hub, or wiring a custom project where the extra base volume doesn't matter, this is the smart buy.

The Details

These are leftover units from the OEM hub series, and Zestek says so plainly, which is exactly why the price sits below the SCX version. Electrically and mechanically there's nothing downgraded: the pogo-pin array maintains constant contact pressure across the joint for reliable CAN, digital, 5V, and low-amp 12V transfer, and the contact provisions support custom circuits for standalone ECUs and driver controls just like the current release. The extra internal volume in the base is a cosmetic footnote on a custom build and a requirement if you're servicing a legacy OEM or CAN hub. Once they're gone, they're gone.
