Description
The Turbosmart TS-1 6466 is an oil-cooled dual ceramic ball-bearing turbocharger with a 64 mm compressor inducer and a 66 mm Inconel turbine wheel. It has a T3 flange turbine inlet and a 0.63 A/R investment-cast stainless steel turbine housing. Turbosmart rates it at 825-955 hp.
The TS-1 range is built for quick spool and fast transient response: a low-inertia shaft and bearing assembly drives an aggressive 7+7 splitter-blade compressor wheel, so the turbo makes boost at lower shaft speeds, while the Inconel turbine wheel and CFD-designed housings keep back pressure down at high load and high flow.
Externally wastegated: this turbine housing has no internal wastegate, so plan on an external wastegate on the manifold. Turbosmart's GenV gates are a direct match.
