Description

Rywire k24-milspec is the Version 2 mil-spec tucked engine harness for K24 K-swaps. It is the same Tefzel and Raychem DR-25 build as the K20 version but with 2005-2006 K24-style crank and knock sensor plugs, and it follows the OEM K-series layout, connecting to your chassis through a K-series computer adapter. Built to order by Rywire in the USA.

Why This K24 Swap Harness for Your K-Swap

Rywire k24-milspec is a tucked K24 swap harness for K-swaps into older Honda chassis: all-new wire, pins and plugs with 2005-2006 K24-style crank and knock plugs, routed like the OEM K-series harness.

  • Versus re-pinning your donor harness: Donor K-series harnesses are often 20+ years old, cut, brittle or missing plugs. This Rywire K24 mil-spec harness is built new to order, so no core is needed.
  • Versus a universal flying-lead harness: With flying leads you terminate every connector yourself. This Rywire K24 mil-spec harness is crimped with pneumatic heads, ID-labeled, and tested pin to pin and resistance checked before shipping.
  • Versus Rywire's budget line (K24-Base): The Rywire K24-Base budget K24 harness has the same V2 layout and connectors for less money, in single black wire and expandable loom.
  • What the mil-spec build adds: This Rywire K24 mil-spec harness uses Tefzel (ETFE) wire rated to 200 C in factory wire colors, under Raychem DR-25 heat shrink with adhesive-lined junctions, for a show-quality bay.
  • Version 2 routing: This Rywire K24 mil-spec harness runs through the center or right of the firewall like the OEM K-series harness, works in LHD and RHD cars and clears aggressive headers.
  • Built by a Honda swap wiring specialist: Rywire built the 1988 CRX K20 featured in Super Street (2009) and the ITR-powered E-AT Civic on the November 2013 Honda Tuning cover.

Best for: K24 swaps where you want mil-spec materials and factory colors. K20 plugs: Rywire K2-Mil-spec. Pair it with a K-Series Chassis Adapter.

Engine Swap Fitment

  • Honda K24 engine swaps (2005-2006 K24-style crank and knock sensor plugs; 2002-2004 K20-style ECT plug)
  • OEM-style computer plugs A and B; a K-Series Chassis Adapter connects it to your chassis and adds the E-plug
  • Left-hand drive and right-hand drive chassis
  • For K20 crank and knock plugs, see the Mil-Spec Tucked K-Series Engine Harness V2 - K20 Swap (K2-Mil-spec)

Features

  • Mil-spec Tefzel (ETFE) insulated wire in factory wire colors, rated to 200°C, with high chemical resistance
  • Raychem DR-25 heat shrink covering with adhesive-lined junctions to keep moisture out
  • Version 2 routing runs like the OEM K-series harness, through the center or right side of the firewall, and clears aggressive exhaust manifolds
  • Fits left-hand drive and right-hand drive chassis
  • Connectors crimped with pneumatic heads and tagged with yellow ID labels
  • High-interference circuits shielded and grounded
  • Pin-to-pin and resistance tested before it ships; no core required
  • Built to order by Rywire in the USA

Choosing Options

  • Injector Plug: the injector connector to match your injectors. Bosch EV14 covers most Injector Dynamics injectors; Nippon Denso covers the ID2000.
  • Transmission: where your transmission's vehicle speed sensor sits, in front by the headlights or in the rear by the firewall.
  • Drive Side: left-hand drive (LHD) or right-hand drive (RHD). The Version 2 routing works for both.
  • Want a firewall quick disconnect? Add the Rywire Mil-Spec Firewall Quick Disconnect Plug (A/C hole by default, or the heater core hole location, chosen on its listing) from Recommended Add-Ons so the engine comes out without unpinning anything.

Recommended Add-Ons

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the K20 mil-spec harness?

Only the crank sensor and knock sensor plugs change: this version uses the 2005-2006 K24-style plugs. Wire, routing and the rest of the connector list match the K20 version.

Does it plug straight into my chassis?

Not by itself. It ends at OEM-style computer plugs A and B, so you need a K-Series Chassis Adapter for your chassis, which also adds the E-plug. No core harness is needed.

How are the cam sensors wired?

Rywire wires the TDC plug on the intake side and the CPS plug on the exhaust side: the exhaust cam sensor is the timing reference and the intake sensor references VTC position. The two plugs are identical and sit next to each other, so if you prefer them the other way, swap wires A25 and A26 at the computer plug and reverse the plugs.

Can Tuned By Shawn help with the rest of the swap?

Yes. Email service@tunedbyshawn.com with your engine, chassis and ECU before ordering if you are unsure which configuration you need. If you would rather run a standalone computer, Rywire also builds the K-Series Haltech harness (K2-Haltech-Elite), and Tuned By Shawn can tune your swap on Haltech.

Should I buy the Rywire mil-spec or budget tucked K24 harness?

Both use the same Version 2 layout and connectors. The budget K24-Base costs less and uses single black wire in expandable loom; the mil-spec k24-milspec uses Tefzel wire in factory colors under Raychem DR-25 with adhesive-lined junctions.

For off-road and competition use only. Not legal for use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles.
