Radium Universal Fuel Pressure Regulator Damper (20-1528-00)

A regulator and a pulse damper are two mounts, four fittings, and six potential leaks; the FPRD is one of each.

The Radium Engineering Fuel Pressure Regulator Damper (FPRD-RA) consolidates the two most important pressure-management components into a single high-flow package: a fully functional high performance pressure regulator with a built-in fuel pulse damper. The inlet (side) and outlet (bottom) run large 10AN ORB (7/8"-14) ports for serious flow, two M6x1mm mounting holes plus an included laser cut anodized mounting plate handle installation, and the unit mounts in any orientation including upside down. One body, doing the work of a plumbing diagram.

The Details

The consolidation logic is about physics as much as packaging. Injector pulses and regulator response interact, and placing the damping diaphragm inside the regulator body means oscillations are absorbed exactly where the regulator is trying to hold a setpoint, rather than a hose length away. The 10AN port sizing signals this unit's intent: it is built for high-flow systems where a 6AN regulator would be the restriction, including multi-pump surge tank and hanger setups. Plumb the feed into the side inlet, the rail supply or return path per your architecture from the bottom outlet, and select Radium 10AN ORB adapter fittings to match your hose. As with all ORB connections, lubricate the O-rings before installation and skip the sealant. Fittings and gauge sold separately.
