Description

Saturated carbon stops working. This brings the canister back rather than replacing it.

The Radium Engineering service kit for the standard fuel vent charcoal canister supplies fresh activated carbon and a new 150 micron strainer so a saturated canister can be disassembled and recharged. Filtration efficiency falls as the carbon loads up, and recharging restores it.

Features

  • Fresh activated carbon
  • New 150 micron strainer
  • Compatible with all 20-1828-xx standard canisters

The Details

Recharging is not a frequent job and there is no fixed interval; it depends entirely on how much vapour the canister has processed. Watch for fuel odour returning at the vent exit, which is the practical sign the carbon has saturated. The standard canister holds five times the carbon of the compact version, so it goes considerably longer between services. For the compact canister, the matching kit is the 20-1827-SK.

Kit Includes

  • Replacement activated carbon
  • Replacement 150 micron strainer

Applications

  • All Radium standard fuel vent charcoal canisters (20-1828-00, 20-1828-08, 20-1828-12)

Important Notes

  • Not for the compact canister; that uses the 20-1827-SK service kit
