Description

A capped-off male line still needs a seal, and tape is not a seal.

The Radium Engineering 3/8in SAE female cap closes off a 3/8 inch SAE quick connect male fitting that is no longer in use, latching on exactly like the female line it replaces. Machined from billet aluminum and anodized for corrosion protection.

The Details

SAE quick connect sizing is measured by the outside diameter of the male fitting: 0.3125 inch is 5/16, 0.3750 is 3/8, 0.5000 is 1/2, 0.6250 is 5/8. Measure rather than guessing, since adjacent sizes look similar and do not interchange. Always lubricate the mating O-rings with a light amount of oil before installing. For the opposite case, plugging an unused female line, use the 14-0607 SAE male plug.
