The bladder holds the fuel. The can is what stops the world from reaching it.

The Radium Engineering replacement fuel cell can, 10.5 gallon spare tire is the powder coated aluminum enclosure that houses and protects the bladder inside the RA-series spare tire well fuel cell. It is the part that takes the hit from debris, contact, and mounting hardware, so it is the part that gets replaced after damage while the certified bladder inside carries on. Supplied as a complete enclosure: lid, bottom, inspection plate, decals, and stainless hardware.

The Details

The spare tire cell is its own shape rather than a larger 10 gallon unit, so this can is specific to it; the standard 10 gallon can is the 20-0670. This is a service part only: the can cannot be used without a bladder inside it, and buying a can plus a bladder separately is not a route to a cheaper complete fuel cell. If the bladder needs replacing, whether from damage or a lapsed five year FIA and SFI certification, the matching 20-0651 R11A bladder is the part you want.
