Description

One regulator, many ways to plumb it, and no Y-fitting needed.

The Radium Engineering MPR multi-port fuel pressure regulator suits both single and multi-pump EFI fuel systems. Its unique port configuration is the point: it plumbs traditional flow-through or dead-head systems, and the two opposing lower return ports flow parallel with the pressure ports, which eliminates the need for elbow fittings and does away with an extra Y-fitting entirely. Either lower port can take the return line, and plugs are supplied for whatever goes unused.

What You'll Feel

  • Fuel pressure adjusted by hand with a knob, no tools
  • Plumbing flexibility instead of one fixed inlet and outlet
  • A vacuum port that swivels 360 degrees to point wherever you need
  • Fewer fittings, because elbows and Y-blocks become unnecessary

Features

  • RA-series tool-less pressure adjustment by knob
  • 360 degree swiveling vacuum reference port, double O-ring sealed, with four interchangeable vacuum fittings
  • 1:1 rising rate vacuum reference
  • Lower opposing return ports flowing parallel with the pressure ports
  • Minimum pressure 18.5psi (1.3bar); maximum depends on your pump setup
  • Wall or floor mounting via M6 through-holes or the included bracket
  • Compatible with all popular gasolines and ethanol blends

The Details

This is the regulator for dead-head fuel plumbing. Radium points dead-head systems here specifically, because the FPR-D has a single inlet and single outlet and must be plumbed after the rail. It is also the unit Radium designs their vehicle specific mounts around, including the Corvette FPR mounts (13-0447, 13-0457, 13-1467) and the 2015+ Mustang FPR mount (20-1226).

One thing worth knowing before you call anyone: a rapid drop in fuel pressure after the pump shuts off is normal for aftermarket regulators of any brand. To regulate high flow, the diaphragm seat and return orifice have to be large, and large sealing surfaces will not form a perfect seal at rest. Pressure resets immediately when the pump runs again. If you also have long cranking or delayed pressure build, that points at the feed hose draining back to the tank, usually a pump module leak or a missing pump check valve, not the regulator.
