International Evo X tanks have a hole where North American cars have a sensor, and the Radium hanger needs it closed.

North American Evo X models carry an OEM fuel tank pressure sensor (Mitsubishi 8651A025) on the fuel hat top for emissions compliance, but many vehicles outside North America never got one. The Radium Engineering Fuel Tank Pressure Plug exists for exactly those cars: when installing the Radium Evo X fuel pump hanger without the OEM sensor, this part plugs the port hole in the fuel hat top, sealing the tank properly. It secures using the two button head bolts already provided with the hanger. Small part, mandatory job.

The Details

The logic is simple: Radium's Evo X hanger top hat carries a port sized for the North American emissions pressure sensor, and every installation needs that port either occupied or sealed. Cars with the OEM sensor transfer it over; cars without it, common in international markets, use this plug instead. Check your fuel hat before ordering the hanger, since knowing which situation you have saves a mid-install parts run. If your car has the 8651A025 sensor, you do not need this plug.
