Description

A filter that flows at 400 lph and one that filters to 6 microns are usually two different parts; this one is both.

High-horsepower fuel systems tend to sacrifice filtration for flow, running coarse elements to avoid pressure drop. The Radium Engineering High Flow Fuel Filter refuses that trade, using one of the largest elements in the industry (4.2" x 1.75") inside a 3-piece body CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, with 10AN ORB ports on both removable end caps. Choose 6 micron microglass, 10 micron stainless, or 100 micron stainless elements, with or without an integrated check valve. Real filtration with negligible pressure drop, up to 150 psi.

What You'll Feel

  • Injector-grade protection without the pressure drop that costs top-end fuel flow
  • Long service intervals, since the oversized element holds contaminants without becoming a restriction
  • Held prime and steady startup pressure on check valve versions
  • Easy servicing: remove one end cap, swap or clean the element, reassemble
  • Confidence running E85 or methanol, with all-Viton/FKM sealing throughout

Features

  • 3-piece body CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, Type-II anodized for corrosion resistance
  • Large 4.2" x 1.75" element with stainless internal core to prevent collapse at high flow
  • Both removable end caps feature 10AN ORB female ports; end caps sealed with FKM O-rings
  • Element options: 6 micron microglass (99.9% capture at 6 micron, replace at end of service), 10 micron stainless (cleanable, reusable), 100 micron stainless (cleanable, pre-pump duty)
  • 20-1220 check valve versions (silver outlet cap) hold system pressure after shutdown; 20-0220 versions have a green outlet cap
  • Compatible with gasoline, diesel, ethanol, methanol, and E85; safe to 150 psi with negligible pressure drop

The Details

Element choice maps to placement and fuel. The 6 micron microglass is the post-pump choice for injector protection and is the element that meets the Bosch injector filtration specification with 99.9% capture efficiency at 6 microns; it must be replaced when spent. The 10 micron stainless also runs post-pump and can be cleaned and reused, trading a little capture efficiency for reusability. The 100 micron stainless is a pre-pump strainer. Servicing any of them means unscrewing the outlet cap and swapping the element, and replacement elements are available separately. The check valve versions matter for setups where fuel pressure should hold after key-off, such as hanger conversions that deleted an OEM check valve; note the Radium Evo X and Subaru feed kits use exactly this filter for that reason. Higher-powered engines load elements faster, so expect service intervals to scale with fuel demand. Mounting clamps (single, dual, and finned heat exchanger styles) are sold separately.

Kit Includes

  • Integrated check valve on 20-1220 versions per selection
  • Mounting clamps sold separately

Applications

  • Universal: EFI and carbureted fuel systems up to 150 psi
  • 10AN ORB ports accept Radium adapter fittings for AN, SAE, and barb connections (sold separately)
  • Gasoline, diesel, ethanol, methanol, and E85 fuel systems
