Description

A surge tank is what stops fuel starvation when the tank is low and the corners are long.

Radium Engineering fuel surge tank install kits for three platforms. A surge tank keeps a reserve of fuel trapped around the pump pickup so that cornering, braking, and low tank levels cannot momentarily starve the engine, which is the failure mode that ends track sessions and damages engines.

Choose Your Application

  • FST-R, S2000 06-09, pump not included (20-1933)

What You'll Feel

  • Consistent fuel pressure through long corners and low fuel levels
  • Protection against the starvation that a stock pickup cannot prevent
  • Vehicle specific mounting rather than a fabricated bracket

Features

  • Vehicle specific surge tank install hardware
  • Anodized aluminum construction
  • Fuel resistant lines and fittings
  • Stainless steel hardware

The Details

Fuel pumps are separate purchases on all three. A surge tank system uses a lift pump to fill the tank and a surge pump to feed the engine, so plan the pump count and the electrical supply before ordering.

The 20-1933 is the FST-R, a regulated surge tank, so the regulator function is integrated rather than plumbed separately. The F150 and Porsche kits are install kits built around Radium surge tanks for those chassis.
