The Radium Engineering Fuel Surge Tank Install Kit for the Ford Focus ST/RS is the comprehensive answer: everything needed to install a Radium FST-R in the MK3 Focus, locating it in a collision-safe area under the vehicle in front of the rear bumper support. The fuel pump inside the surge tank replaces and mimics the OEM fuel supply line and feeds the OEM HPFP, protected from fuel starvation as the OEM low pressure pump is redirected to supply fuel to the FST, with overflow fuel returning into the OEM fuel filler hose through an included billet adapter. The integrated regulator on the FST can be vacuum referenced if 1:1 fuel pressure is required or run static to mimic the stock system. A complete bolt-in kit containing all necessary parts for installation, plumbing, and powering the surge tank pump. FST and pumps sold separately.

The Details

Two Radium planning notes complete the build sheet. First, a means for adjusting the FST-R fuel pressure is needed, coming either from special OBDII software such as a COBB Accessport or from Radium's 20-0152 installed on the FST-R outlet port. Second, pump matching matters: depending on the flow rate of the pump installed in the FST, a drop-in fuel pump upgrade may be required in the main tank, since the main tank's pump keeps the surge tank full and wants to flow roughly 40 to 50 percent of what the surge pump flows, an estimate that varies by combination. Select the FST-R and surge pump for the horsepower target, match the lift side accordingly, and the EcoBoost's low pressure side stops being the limit.
