Description

A surge tank that takes external pumps, and an AOS that returns oil to the sump instead of collecting it.

Two universal fuel and oiling system components: a surge tank designed for external fuel pumps, and the AOS-R air oil separator in vent to atmosphere configuration.

Choose Your Part

  • Fuel surge tank for external pumps (20-1195)
  • AOS-R universal, VTA (20-0819)

What You'll Feel

  • Starvation protection on a system built around external pumps
  • Separated oil returned to the sump rather than accumulating in a can
  • No emptying interval to remember on the AOS-R

Features

  • Surge tank configured for external fuel pumps rather than in-tank units
  • AOS-R with oil return, vent to atmosphere configuration
  • Anodized aluminum construction
  • Compatible with all fuel types including E85

The Details

The AOS-R differs from a catch can in what it does with what it collects. A catch can holds separated oil until you empty it; the AOS-R returns it to the sump, so there is no reservoir to check or drain. This is the VTA version, meaning it vents to atmosphere rather than routing filtered air back to the intake, which suits dedicated race applications but is not emissions or tech legal everywhere. The 20-1773 adapter converts a VTA Competition can to vent to engine if closed loop is required.

The 20-1195 surge tank suits systems using external pumps, where the lift and surge pumps mount outside the tank rather than in it. Pumps are a separate purchase.

Important Notes

  • The AOS-R VTA vents to atmosphere; check your sanctioning body and emissions requirements
