Radium Fuel Rails | GM Vortec 8100 L18 Big Block (20-0862)

The 8.1 was built to haul, not to make power. The factory rails are the first thing in the way when you change that.

The Radium Engineering fuel rail set for the GM Vortec 8100 L18 big block replaces the factory rails with a pair CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, black anodized and laser etched. Each rail carries six 8AN ORB (3/4in-16) ports, twelve across the pair, which is an unusual amount of plumbing flexibility and suits both return and returnless configurations.

The Details

This is an upgrade rail, not a top feed conversion. OEM or OEM-equivalent injectors are required, matching factory height and upper and lower O-ring dimensions. Radium does not make injector recommendations; consult your tuner for flow rate and the injector manufacturer for a part number with the correct dimensions.

The rails are only half the job. GM changed the fuel system partway through this engine's life, so the matching plumbing kit is year-specific: 20-1062 for 01-03 return style trucks, which brings an adjustable regulator and gauge, and 20-1162 for 04-10 returnless trucks, which brings a pulse damper instead. Both are sold separately.

No fittings are supplied with the rails. ORB fittings must be chosen to suit your plumbing, and leave clearance around any port destined to carry a regulator, gauge, or damper.
