The M54 runs a returnless fuel system, and that changes how a rail gets plumbed.

The Radium Engineering fuel rail plumbing kit for the BMW M54 connects a Radium 20-0770 fuel rail to the factory fuel line system in the E46 engine bay, mimicking the OEM feed line using 6AN hose and fittings. It supplies the plugs and fittings the rail needs, so the install is a bolt-in rather than a fabrication exercise.

The Details

The kit assumes the OEM returnless arrangement: front and center rail ports get plugged, the rear port carries the feed, and the supplied 6AN hose runs to a SAE quick connect that mates to the factory line. Radium provides 12 inches of 3/8in EFI hose, trimmed to length at install, so the kit accommodates whether the feed line sits in the OEM location or has been relocated. PushLok hose ends seat by force and need no clamps. This kit is specific to the M54 and to the Radium rail; other engines in the M5x and S5x family run return systems and plumb differently.
