Radium Fuel Pump Outlet Adapters (20-0298/20-0599)

A hose barb clamped inside a fuel tank is the connection everyone forgets until it fails.

High-flow in-tank pumps ship with plastic barbed outlets, and serious builds deserve better than a worm clamp on plastic. The Radium Engineering Fuel Pump Outlet Adapter converts the hose-barbed outlet of many popular pumps to a proper 6AN male connection: two billet aluminum halves clamp around the pump outlet with stainless steel bolts, a stainless retainer holds the assembly, and an FKM O-ring seals against the barb for a leak-free, E85-compatible joint. Two heights are offered, with the 20-0298 (green upper fitting) built as short as possible without sacrificing flow, sitting 0.42" shorter than the 20-0599 (black upper fitting) for tight hanger and surge tank packaging.

The Details

The clamshell design is what makes this work on a molded plastic outlet: rather than threading onto anything, the two halves capture the barb's ridges mechanically while the O-ring does the sealing, which is why Radium's one prerequisite matters so much. Before purchasing, confirm the pump outlet's plastic hose barb ridges are in excellent condition, since damaged or out-of-round ridges may prevent the O-ring from obtaining a positive seal. Height selection is pure packaging: inside a tight hanger or surge tank lid, the 20-0298's shorter stack can be the difference between fitting and not. One pump-specific note from Radium: on the brushless Ti Automotive E5LM, the electrical connector must be installed before this adapter goes on. Fuel pump not included.
