The Radium Engineering Fuel Pump Hanger for early Subarus is a CNC machined, laser etched and anodized drop-in assembly running 1 or 2 aftermarket high-flow pumps in the factory tank, using the OEM gasket and hardware while retaining the fuel level sender and temperature sensors. The pumps merge into a single 8AN ORB outlet, the crossover and return run 6AN ORB, and OEM hose adapters for every model year plus 6AN male fittings for aftermarket lines are all in the box. Choose 20-0340-00 for Walbro GSS342 or AEM 50-1200 class pumps, or 20-0342-00 for Walbro F90000267/274/285. This is a hanger, not a surge tank, and its collector box is the reason that distinction barely matters. Pumps sold separately.

The Details

The collector box is the quiet star. Fuel from the regulator return and the crossover hose all feeds into it, the one-way fill valve acts as a trap door keeping the pumps submerged during aggressive driving, and Radium optimized the box geometry to function in every compatible tank rather than only the 04-07 STI's baffled version. Single pump installs can reuse the OEM fuel pump controller, though Radium recommends upgrading the wiring since high-flow pumps draw current the factory gauge wire was never sized for, and one Radium DIY wiring kit per pump completes the job. Pump selection splits the two versions by physical format: GSS342/AEM class for -00, Walbro 450 DCSS class for -02. One hard exclusion from Radium: not compatible with the JDM WRX STI Spec C.
