Description

The stock Del Sol hanger is plastic and sized for a pump flowing around 100 LPH. That was fine for 130hp.

The Radium Engineering fuel pump hanger for the 1993-1997 Honda Del Sol replaces the entire factory assembly with billet anodized aluminum. It drops in with no cutting of the fuel tank or sheet metal, and positions the pump in the factory collector bowl so fuel does not slosh away from the pickup when you are hard on the throttle or low in the tank. Compatible with gasoline, E85, and methanol.

Choose Your Version

  • Fits Walbro GSS342 / AEM 50-1200 (20-3790): also suits AEM 50-1000, 50-1220, 50-1230, and 50-1235
  • Fits Walbro F90000267 / 274 / 285 or brushless (20-3792): also suits F90000295, Ti Automotive E5LM, Protec 11928, Fuelab 49614, Deatschwerks DW440 and DW810

What You'll Feel

  • Fuel delivery that supports a turbo or E85 build instead of capping it
  • Electrical connections that carry pump current without melting or corroding
  • Braided AN line from the hanger instead of adapting brittle stock hard lines
  • Pump serviceable through the access cover without dropping the tank

Features

  • Billet anodized aluminum, replacing the plastic OEM hanger entirely
  • 8AN ORB (3/4in-16) female feed port with preinstalled 6AN male fitting
  • 6AN ORB (9/16in-18) female return port with 6AN male fitting
  • Fittings machined low enough to clear the fuel pump access cover
  • Anti-rotation stainless steel electrical studs, hermetically sealed and high current rated
  • Non-conductive anodized acorn nuts preventing accidental shorts
  • ETFE insulated in-tank wiring, chemically resistant to gasoline, E85, and methanol
  • Pump strainers, clamps, and stainless hardware included

The Details

The stock hanger's weakness is not only flow. Its plastic multi-pin connectors were never rated for the current a high flow pump draws, and the plastic embrittles and cracks with age. The Radium unit replaces those with sealed stainless studs, so fuel cannot migrate into the electrical connections.

Check valves are worth checking. The AEM 50-1230 and 50-1235, the Walbro F90000295, and the Ti Automotive E5LM have no integrated check valve, so add an external one if you are running a return style system and want pressure to hold after shutdown.

A single Walbro GSS342 install can reuse the OEM fuel pump wiring, though Radium recommends upgrading it so the pump sees full voltage. And note the brushless trade-off: a brushless pump rules out the dual pump add-on, because the controller wiring cannot pass through the hanger alongside a second pump. Either run one brushless pump or two conventional pumps.

Kit Includes

  • Billet fuel pump hanger with preinstalled 6AN male fittings on both ports
  • Fuel pump strainers, rubber hose, worm gear and small hose clamps
  • Electrical eyelets, connection caps, heat shrink, flanged hex nuts, and zip ties
  • NOT included: fuel pump, dual pump add-on, and connection kit

Applications

  • 1993-1997 Honda Civic Del Sol, all trims

Important Notes

  • Brushless pump installs cannot use the dual pump add-on due to the extra controller wiring
  • AEM 50-1230, AEM 50-1235, Walbro F90000295, and Ti Automotive E5LM have no integrated check valve
  • Fuel pump sold separately
