Splicing a factory fuel pump connector is how you end up chasing an intermittent no-start two years later.

The Radium Engineering fuel pump connector extension for the Walbro 255 plugs between the vehicle harness and a Walbro 255 style pump, extending the connection by 9 inches without cutting or splicing either side. It is the clean answer when the pump sits further from the factory plug than the original lead allows, which is common after a hanger or surge tank install repositions the pump.

The Details

Extensions solve reach, not current capacity. If the install draws more than the factory pump wiring was designed for, particularly on a multi-pump setup, the right fix is a relay-driven circuit such as Radium's DIY fuel pump wiring kit rather than a longer lead. If you need more than 9 inches on a 255 style pump, the 17-0071 long harness runs 16 inches.
