Nissan split the 350Z's fuel tank over the driveshaft, and the insufficient baffling makes fuel starvation common when cornering aggressively at or below half a tank. The Radium Engineering Fuel Hanger Surge Tank (FHST) for the Nissan 350Z / Infiniti G35 is the definitive fix: it replaces the factory hanger with an integrated surge tank system that keeps its pumps submerged regardless of what the saddle tank is doing. This 20-1832 version fits the Walbro F90000267, F90000274, and F90000285, plus the DW440 brushless. Drop-in, with the factory fuel level function retained. Pumps sold separately.

The Details

Saddle tanks fail differently than flat tanks: fuel migrates to whichever side the corner loads, and the pump side can run dry with gallons still aboard on the far side, which is why simple pump upgrades never fix the Z33's starvation. The FHST's surge architecture keeps a full reservoir at the pump regardless of migration, and the companion note for DW440 or other brushless pump selections is the usual one, since brushless pumps require their manufacturer's controllers. Radium's separate versions cover the GSS342/AEM class for smaller builds, and each installed pump wants a Radium DIY wiring kit so the current path matches the flow rating.
