Description

On a Huracan or Gen2 R8, the factory restricts the port injection rails with orifice fittings, and no injector upgrade gets around that while the systems share a pump.

The Radium Engineering Fuel Hanger Surge Tank for the Audi R8 and Lamborghini Huracan and Gallardo LP drops into the left hand opening of the fuel tank, opposite the OEM pump on the right, and supplies port injectors from a completely independent circuit. The OEM fuel system is left entirely undisturbed: original pump, filter, FPR, venturi jet pumps, and all factory level sensors keep working exactly as designed, feeding the direct injection side. Separating the two circuits retires those restrictive orifice fittings on Huracan and Type-4S cars and gives port injection its own dedicated supply. A single aftermarket pump is required, sold separately.

The Details

Tank depth decides whether you need the extension. Radium strongly advises the 20-0868 extension for Gen2 R8 Type-4S and every Huracan variant so the FHST reaches the lowest part of the tank, and the extension is explicitly not compatible with Gen1 R8 Type-42 or any Gallardo. The extension adds 0.2L using a 39mm deeper canister, with a mid section between canister and bottom cap, longer convoluted tubing, an extended stainless pump bracket keeping the pump inlet at the bottom of the surge tank, and a stainless mount relocating the OEM venturi jet pump clear of it. For plumbing, the common scheme on Gallardo LP and Gen1 R8 Type-42 pairs this tank with the Radium port injection kit (20-0865) and its plumbing kit (20-0967-03 or 20-0967-05). Radium advises Huracan and Type-4S owners to work with their tuner on system design. A relay kit such as 17-0031 is recommended to drive the FHST pump.
