Description

A drop-in hanger stops at more flow; this add-on turns it into a true surge tank without leaving the gas tank.

The late Nissan saddle-bag tank sloshes fuel away from the pickup under aggressive driving, and unstable pressure means lean mixtures with engine damage on the menu. The Radium Engineering Fuel Hanger Surge Tank Add-On for Late Nissan converts a compatible Radium Nissan fuel pump hanger into a full FHST: a fully functional fuel surge tank mounted inside the OEM tank, plug and play connections joining the two systems, permitting 1 or 2 surge pumps including brushless variations. This 20-0701 version suits the Walbro F90000267, F90000274, F90000285, and Ti Automotive E5LM. Anodized aluminum construction, high current electrical hardware, stainless steel hardware and clamps, and gasoline, methanol, and ethanol compliance throughout. No grinding, bending, or vehicle modification. Pumps sold separately.

What You'll Feel

  • Fuel starvation eliminated on the saddle-tank chassis that made it famous
  • Surge tank benefits without external tanks, trunk plumbing, or installation complexity
  • 1 or 2 surge pumps, brushless included, feeding the engine from an always-full reservoir
  • Plug and play integration with the existing Radium hanger, most parts shared
  • Wiring for the first surge pump included: relay, fuse, and all associated hardware

Features

  • Converts a compatible Radium late Nissan fuel hanger (20-063X, sold separately) to a full FHST
  • 20-0701: Walbro F90000267/274/285 and Ti E5LM brushless; companion 20-0700 serves the GSS342 family
  • Permits 1 or 2 surge pumps; utilizes most of the Radium 20-063X hanger parts
  • External high current wiring for one FHST pump included (1 relay, 1 fuse, wiring, hardware); second pump needs a Radium 17-0031 DIY wiring kit
  • Anodized aluminum construction, stainless hardware and clamps; gasoline, methanol, and ethanol compliant
  • No grinding, bending, or modification of the vehicle

The Details

The architecture is elegantly frugal: the pump in the original hanger location becomes the lift pump, operating at very low pressure and high flow, which is why Radium notes the OEM external fuel pump wiring is sufficient for that lift duty, while the surge pumps in the add-on canister do the pressure work on their own high current circuits. Radium recommends a single pump hanger feeding the surge tank, with the surge tank then equipped with one or two pumps feeding the engine, meaning 2 to 3 pumps total can live in the tank. The surge canister stays full from multiple sources including the lift pump and FPR return, so the pickup never sees the slosh. E5LM selections need their brushless controllers; every high-current pump wants proper wiring.

Kit Includes
