A Radium hanger in an NB deletes the only fuel pressure regulator the car has, and this kit is the complete answer to that.

The Radium Engineering fuel hanger plumbing kit for the 1989-2005 Mazda MX-5 Miata carries fuel from the Radium 20-1020 hanger all the way to the rail: a large 8AN feed line runs around the backside of the fuel tank to a high flow fuel filter mounted in the OEM location on a billet mount, then an 8AN PTFE line follows the factory hard lines forward to an RA-series fuel pressure regulator under the right hand strut tower. From the FPR, another 8AN PTFE line feeds the front port of a dead head aftermarket fuel rail. The OEM fuel feed line is repurposed as a high flow return connecting directly to the FPR return fitting, and a fuel pressure gauge mounts on the feed line for easy adjustment.

The Details

This kit is the fuller of Radium's two answers to the NB regulator problem. On 1999-2005 cars, installing the 20-1020 hanger removes the OEM fuel pressure regulator from the system, and an aftermarket FPR becomes mandatory; the lighter path is the 20-1022 FPR kit, while this kit adds regulation, filtration, and the entire tank-to-rail plumbing run in one box. On 1989-1997 cars the OEM regulator lives on the fuel rail and is unaffected by the hanger, so this kit is an upgrade rather than a requirement, converting the car to a proper high flow return system. It feeds a dead head aftermarket rail at the front port: the Radium 1.6L B6 rail (20-0769-02) or the 1.8L BP rail (20-0369), both carried here and sold separately.
