Description

The OEM Evo filter restricts the pump, and the pump pays for it in current and heat.

The Radium Engineering fuel filter kit for the Mitsubishi Evo 1-6 replaces the factory filter mounted in the LH side of the engine bay, with no cutting or drilling required. Because the Radium filter is less restrictive than the OEM Mitsubishi unit, there is less stress on the fuel pump: lower pre-filter pressure means less current draw, which means lower fuel temperature, and that in turn permits an increase in fuel flow.

Choose Your Kit

  • Stainless filter, 10 micron (20-1329-03): cleanable element, the more open of the two
  • Microglass filter, 6 micron (20-1329-05): finer filtration

The Details

Element choice is the only difference between the two kits. The 10 micron stainless element is cleanable and flows more openly; the 6 micron microglass filters finer, which matters where injectors are expensive or fuel quality is uncertain.

This kit is the direct-replacement path. If you would rather relocate filtration or build custom plumbing, the 20-1339 Evo 1-6 filter mount and a separate 20-0220 filter cover that instead.
