The Focus ST's OEM sound symposer system plumbs engine sounds into the cabin, and once engine modifications are made the symposer quickly becomes useless. The Radium Engineering Sound Symposer Delete Kit for the Ford Focus ST replaces it: a CNC machined aluminum block-off, laser etched and anodized, that frees up space and installs in minutes with no cutting or drilling, just a couple of wrenches. Two black anodized fittings give you the choice of plugging the machined 1/8" NPT hole or adding a vacuum reference for auxiliary components, and the kit reuses the high temperature, chemical-resistant OEM Ford gasket.

The Details

One compatibility fact elevates this from tidy-up to prerequisite: Radium's own Focus ST catch can documentation states that ST installations REQUIRE the sound symposer to be deleted for clearance, since the OEM symposer box interferes with the catch can when reinstalling the manifold. That makes this kit the first line item of a Focus ST catch can order rather than an afterthought. Beyond clearance, the NPT port option quietly adds value, giving boost gauges, meth kits, and other auxiliary components a manifold vacuum reference without tapping anything else. NPT threads seal with PTFE paste; the block-off torques onto the factory location with the OEM gasket sealing as Ford designed.
