Description

Deleting the factory PCV valve from the routing still leaves a threaded hole that needs the right answer.

Catch can installs on FA-powered Subarus often relocate PCV function into the can's fitting, leaving the block's valve port to be adapted. The Radium Engineering PCV Valve Replacement Fitting threads into the 3/8" BSPT port where the OEM PCV valve lived on the 2015-2021 WRX and 2013+ BRZ/FR-S/86, presenting a 10AN male flare for hose routing. It converts the factory valve location into a proper AN connection point for catch can and breather plumbing.

What You'll Feel

  • The factory PCV port converted cleanly to AN plumbing for catch can routing
  • A straight-through flow path where the system design has moved valve function downstream
  • Correct BSPT thread engagement instead of a forced NPT approximation

Features

  • 3/8" BSPT male thread replacing the OEM PCV valve in its factory port
  • 10AN male flare output for AN hose ends
  • Machined anodized aluminum construction
  • For systems relocating PCV valve function elsewhere in the circuit (e.g., a Radium PCV valve ORB fitting at the catch can)

The Details

The thread spec matters more than it looks: BSPT and NPT tapers differ, and forcing the wrong standard into an aluminum block port damages threads that are expensive to repair, which is why Radium machines this fitting to the 3/8" BSPT the engine actually carries. Tapered threads seal with PTFE thread sealant paste applied before installation. The system-design caveat is equally important, since removing the OEM PCV valve means one-way function must exist elsewhere in the circuit before boost or backfire can reach the crankcase, typically via Radium's integrated PCV valve ORB fitting at the catch can. Verify your routing plan preserves check function before installing. Sold individually.
