Radium Engineering PCV Baffle Plate for EcoBoost/MZR | Multiple Fitments (20-0327)

The factory plastic PCV plate on your EcoBoost or MZR lets oil sludge ride straight into the intake, and on Ford engines the OEM valve leaks boost too.

Direct-injected and turbocharged Ford and Mazda four-cylinders are hard on their crankcase ventilation, and the stock plastic plate does little to separate oil from the vapor stream. The Radium Engineering PCV Baffle Plate bolts to the engine block in place of the factory plate and valve, with CNC machined aluminum construction and an extra baffle that stops oil sludge from entering the intake system without restricting airflow. Two 10AN ORB ports machined above the baffles handle everything from OEM-style plumbing to full custom catch can setups. A proper metal fix for a known plastic weak point.

The Details

The PCV circuit on these engines pulls crankcase vapor into the intake manifold under vacuum, and closes under boost so pressure cannot push back into the crankcase. The problem is twofold: the factory plate does a poor job separating oil from that vapor, and the OEM Ford PCV valve leaks at all boost levels. Radium's plate solves the separation with baffling, and the Plug'n'Play kit solves the leak with their own 10AN ORB PCV valve. Under load, crankcase venting shifts to the valve cover breather to the intake pipe; if that path is not enough on a heavily modified engine, the plate's second 10AN ORB port can serve as an additional crankcase breather to protect against pressure buildup. Choose your variant carefully. The Plug'n'Play OEM kit fits only the 2013-2018 Ford Focus ST and 2016-2018 Focus RS. The baffle-only version bolts to a wide range of EcoBoost, Duratec, and MZR engines, but plumbing is up to the installer and 10AN ORB fittings are sold separately. It is not compatible with the Ford Ranger, and the MX-5 MZR cannot use the Plug'n'Play kit due to PCV valve clearance.
