When the pedal is depressed, not all the mechanical energy becomes hydraulic brake line pressure; some is wasted flexing the thin firewall behind the master cylinder. The Radium Engineering Master Cylinder Brace for the FR-S / BRZ / 86 eliminates that flex, letting all of the pedal input force go toward stopping the car. The result is a firmer pedal and a more responsive brake system, delivered by a CNC machined 6061 aluminum brace in black anodize with the Radium logo laser engraved. Installation uses factory mounting holes and takes just minutes, with no cutting, drilling, or modification. LHD cars, manual and automatic alike.

The Details

The physics are simple and the details are where Radium earned the design: the brace spans from a rigid mount to the master cylinder, and the preload bolt takes up the gap so the firewall never gets the chance to move. That bolt being aluminum matters, since it presses against an aluminum master cylinder and a steel bolt would gall or dent it over the years, while the easy-on stainless lock nut holds the adjustment without a wrestling match. Set the preload snug per the instructions rather than cranked, and the brace does its work invisibly on every stop thereafter. This black version (20-0104-00) shares everything with the green (20-0104-01) except the anodize.
