Description

Fuel slosh does not care how good your pump is if the pickup is sucking air mid-corner.

Vehicles with inadequate tank baffling starve under hard cornering, braking, and acceleration, exactly when the engine can least afford it. The Radium Engineering Single Pump Fuel Surge Tank (FST) installs between your main tank and engine as an always-full buffer: the factory pump becomes the lift pump keeping the FST topped up alongside regulator return fuel, while the pump inside the FST feeds the rails without ever seeing slosh. It also upgrades total fueling capability for forced induction builds without modifying the stock tank or pump. Pump sold separately. The proven answer to starvation, in its simplest form.

What You'll Feel

  • No lean spikes or pressure drop through long corners, launches, and low fuel levels
  • A fueling upgrade path that leaves the stock tank and lift pump untouched
  • Clean, sealed high-current wiring through anti-rotation stainless studs instead of fragile bulkhead pins
  • Quiet, de-aerated fuel delivery thanks to the internal flow deflector on all three ports
  • Mounting flexibility from vertical to horizontal, wherever the chassis allows

Features

  • Houses one internal fuel pump (sold separately) feeding the rails through a green 6AN male bulkhead outlet fitting
  • Three interchangeable black 6AN ORB fittings handle lift pump supply in, overflow back to the main tank, and regulator return
  • Internal flow deflector prevents fuel foam and aeration on all three ports
  • Anti-rotation stainless electrical studs, hermetically sealed and impervious to all standard and exotic fuels, with non-conductive anodized acorn nuts to prevent shorts
  • In-tank wiring insulated with chemically resistant ETFE; internal pump tubing resistant to gasoline, ethanol, and methanol
  • 2AN ORB level switch port (plugged) accepts Radium's optional fuel level switch, sold separately

The Details

The system works as a loop. Your main tank's pump lifts fuel into the FST, the regulator's return also feeds the FST, and excess fuel overflows back to the main tank, so the canister stays full even when the main pickup momentarily sucks air. The internal pump then draws from that captive volume and never misses. Two planning notes straight from Radium: the overflow line back to the main tank is a requirement on every installation, so tanks without a return port need a port added at the hanger top or filler neck, and all top fittings are 6AN male, with the pump outlet available in 6AN only. Mount the FST anywhere from vertical to horizontal, but keep it away from collision zones, heat sources, and moving suspension; Radium's floor/wall, frame, and angled mounting brackets are sold separately to suit the location. Wire the internal pump through a relay (one Radium DIY wiring kit per pump is the standard recommendation), and if you want low-level warning, the optional level switch drops into the 2AN port and can drive Radium's LED indicator.

Kit Includes

  • 1x Single pump fuel surge tank with green 6AN male outlet bulkhead fitting
  • 3x Interchangeable black 6AN ORB fittings (supply, overflow, return)
  • Internal pump mounting tubing and electrical hardware for the fuel pump
  • 2AN ORB plug installed in level switch port
  • Fuel pump, mounting bracket, and level switch NOT included, sold separately

Applications

  • Universal: vehicles with inadequate fuel tank baffling, track and street builds
  • Forced induction and high fuel demand upgrades using the stock tank as the lift stage
  • Compatible with gasoline, ethanol, and methanol fuel systems
