Description

The stock Subaru fuel unit was engineered for a commuter, not for the E85 tune and 400 lph pump your build calls for.

The Radium Engineering Fuel Pump Hanger for late model Subarus replaces the OEM in-tank unit entirely, housing one or two high-flow pumps in a machined assembly that mounts with the factory gasket in place of the OEM hold-down flange. A collector box with two 355 lph one-way fill valves keeps the pumps fed through hard cornering, while a pressure-relief-valve venturi jet pump pulls fuel across from the passive side of the saddle tank without restricting the return line. Pumps sold separately; pick the configuration built for yours. E85 safe and drop-in, with no permanent modifications.

What You'll Feel

  • Steady pressure through sweepers and low tank levels, with 710 lph of combined fill valve flow feeding the collector
  • A straightforward install using the OEM tank gasket and factory line connections via pre-installed SAE quick connect fittings
  • Simplified plumbing, since both pumps merge internally into a single outlet, no external Y-blocks
  • Room to grow from one pump to two on the same hanger
  • Confidence on ethanol, with the whole system safe for alternative fuels such as E85

Features

  • Anodized, laser engraved billet fuel hat replacing the OEM unit; supports 1 or 2 pumps with internal outlet merging
  • Collector box with two 355 lph 1-way fill valves plus a PRV venturi jet pump that scavenges the passive tank side without restricting the return
  • Three external ports with pre-installed SAE quick connect male adapters: FUEL PUMP OUT (8AN ORB), FPR RETURN (6AN ORB), CROSSOVER (6AN ORB), so factory lines reconnect directly
  • Configurations: 20-0780-00 (Walbro GSS342, AEM 50-1200 style), 20-0781-00 (DeatschWerks DW400), 20-0782-00 (Walbro F90000267/274/285)
  • Stainless electrical terminals and hardware, SAE quick connect fittings, and submersible fuel tubing included
  • Eliminates the OEM post-pump filter; a low-micron filter must be installed downstream (Radium's Subaru plumbing kits include it, sold separately)

The Details

Because the ports carry pre-installed SAE quick connect adapters, the factory feed, return, and crossover lines click straight on, meaning an external plumbing kit is only needed if you want higher-flow AN lines with the underbody filter. Wiring follows the usual Radium pattern: single-pump installs can reuse the OEM pump controller circuit, but high-flow pumps draw real current, so upgraded wiring (one DIY kit per pump) is the recommendation. Two fitment gotchas matter here and both come straight from Radium. First, the 2014-2018 Forester XT and 2015-2021 WRX share the tank but not the fuel unit, so they need the 20-0850 FA20 fuel level sender adapter, sold separately. Second, those same FA20 cars are returnless from the factory; the OEM in-tank regulator is discarded with this conversion, so an aftermarket FPR is required to complete the system. Also note that several compatible AEM pumps lack a check valve; if pressure hold after shutdown matters, Radium's check valve is the fix.
