Description

The factory Evo X pump module was built for one stock pump, not the fuel system your build actually needs.

Once you step up to a 400+ lph pump, or two of them, the OEM in-tank module becomes the choke point, and its venturi return restricts the higher flow you paid for. The Radium Engineering Fuel Pump Hanger for the Evo X completely replaces the factory module, houses one or two aftermarket pumps, and retains the OEM level sender, fuel temperature sensor, and tank pressure sensor for full factory functionality. A redesigned siphon system eliminates the stock venturi restriction while an anodized aluminum collector box with a 355 lph one-way fill valve keeps the pump inlets submerged. Choose the configuration that matches your pumps, sold separately.

What You'll Feel

  • Steady fuel pressure with high-flow pumps that used to fight the factory venturi restriction
  • No starvation drama in corners, since the collector box traps fuel around the pump inlets
  • A factory-functional dash: fuel level, temperature, and pressure sensors all still work
  • Room to grow from one pump to two without swapping hangers
  • A drop-in installation into the stock tank, no cutting or welding

Features

  • Billet aluminum construction with 8AN ORB female pump-out port and 6AN ORB female return port
  • One-piece anodized aluminum collector box with 355 lph 1-way fill valve, constantly replenished by regulator return flow
  • Redesigned venturi jet pump siphon scavenges fuel without restricting high-flow pumps (consumes 15-45 lph depending on fuel pressure)
  • 20-1640 fits Walbro GSS342 (255 lph) and AEM 50-1220; 20-1642 fits Walbro F90000267, F90000274, and F90000285
  • Adapter fittings included for direct connection to OEM fuel lines or aftermarket 8AN and 6AN hoses
  • High-current electrical connections with anti-rotation stainless terminals, stainless hardware and clamps, and alternative fuel compatibility

The Details

The heart of this hanger is the fuel management around the pumps. The collector box holds fuel at the pump inlets through hard cornering and low tank levels, filling through a one-way valve in its base and staying topped up by return fuel from the regulator. Radium's siphon redesign matters because the OEM venturi jet pump sits in the return line and creates a restriction that causes pressure problems with high-flow pumps; the new design scavenges the far side of the saddle tank without that penalty. Pumps are sold separately and the hanger arrives partially assembled with everything needed to run one or two of the compatible pumps, plus an electrical parts bag for the external wiring on top of the hanger. Single-pump installs can reuse the OEM pump controller wiring, though Radium recommends upgraded wiring (such as their DIY wiring kit, one per pump) to get full output. Two things to plan for: this hanger eliminates the OEM post-pump filter, so a low-micron filter belongs downstream to protect your injectors (Radium's Evo X feed kit includes one with an integrated check valve), and international cars without the North American tank pressure sensor need the 20-0421 pressure plug, sold separately.

Kit Includes

  • 1x Partially assembled Evo X fuel pump hanger (configuration per selection)
  • Components to install 1 or 2 compatible fuel pumps (some parts unused depending on setup)
  • Sock filters for Walbro pumps (20-1642) and Walbro GSS342 (20-1640); AEM pumps use manufacturer-supplied socks
  • Adapter fittings for OEM lines plus 8AN and 6AN AN-style connections
  • Electrical parts bag for external wiring
  • Fuel pumps NOT included, sold separately
