The Radium Engineering OEM Style Fuel Pulse Damper is the simplest cure: an OEM quality damper with a 3/8" NPT male thread arriving with impregnated pipe thread paste, ready to install into any rail or fitting with a matching port. Its internal diaphragm absorbs the oscillations and smooths rail pressure, a correction measurable across the RPM range. Especially with high flow injectors, this small part earns its spot.

The Details

Pulse dampers are the unglamorous part of a stable fuel system, and where they go matters more than which one you buy. Most systems want the damper on the rail itself, close to the injectors making the noise, but Radium notes there are cases where multiple dampers are necessary and times when a system benefits from a damper on the return line as well; if a pressure trace still shows oscillation after the first damper, the system is telling you where the second belongs. This OEM style unit is the universal building block of that strategy, since 3/8" NPT ports are easy to machine or adapt into nearly any rail.
