The Details

The FA20F's two ventilation paths misbehave in different conditions. Under vacuum, the PCV line draws crankcase vapor with suspended oil toward the intake manifold and the backs of the intake valves, where direct injection means nothing ever rinses it off. Under boost, the CCV line carries blow-by toward the turbo inlet, seeding the compressor, intercooler, and charge pipes with oil film that lowers the intercooler's thermal efficiency. Two cans, two problems solved, with each can's baffling dropping the oil and moisture out of the airstream before returning clean air to the engine. Check levels with the dipsticks starting around 3 to 4 weeks in to learn your collection rate; the PCV can typically fills faster. Fitment cautions straight from Radium: some Sport Lineartronic (CVT) models mount a control module exactly where the cans install, so compare the install location photo to your engine bay before ordering, this kit is not compatible with the STI, it has not been tested on right hand drive cars, and some aftermarket intakes may interfere.
