The Radium Engineering dual Fluid Lock catch can kit for the 2015-2019 Corvette C7 Z06 pulls oil and water condensation out of the crankcase gases before they reach the intake, keeping the supercharger, intercooler, and manifold clean. It is a closed loop system, so it does not vent to atmosphere: filtered air routes back to the engine to be burned, keeping it emissions and track legal and keeping oil smell out of the cabin.

The Details

The two circuits catch different things at different times, which is why this is a dual kit. The PCV hose sees metered vacuum at idle, steady cruise, and deceleration, drawing crankcase vapour, unspent fuel, and oil sludge into the manifold right after a hard run. The CCV vent sits at atmospheric pressure at low load but pulls hard at wide open throttle, sending contaminants into the intake tract. On a supercharged engine that second path is what coats the intercooler core, and oil on the core measurably lowers heat exchange efficiency.

There is no fixed emptying interval. Check the dipsticks at three to four weeks of driving and set your own schedule, noting PCV cans usually collect more than CCV cans. Excessive collection points at the engine rather than the can.

Note this kit is specific to the Z06. The naturally aspirated C7 LT1 uses the 20-0985-FL, 20-0986-FL, 20-0987-FL, and 20-1286-FL kits instead.
