Description

One hard shift is all it takes to unclip your throw-out bearing, and the only fix is pulling the transmission.

The pull-type clutch slave cylinder in the Mitsubishi Evo has a known weakness: during hard shifting and fast clutch pedal work, the clutch fork can return too far and pop the throw-out bearing loose from the fork. The Radium Engineering Clutch Fork Stop prevents the fork from over-traveling, with a multi-axis CNC machined body that positions the stainless adjustment screw precisely square to the fork face. Set the gap, torque it down, and the failure mode is gone. Cheap insurance against an expensive transmission-out repair.

What You'll Feel

  • Confidence to shift hard and work the pedal fast without babying the clutch
  • No more wondering if that last aggressive launch unclipped the throw-out bearing
  • A quick bolt-on install instead of an afternoon under the car
  • Adjustability to dial in fork travel for your exact clutch setup
  • Peace of mind at the drag strip, on track, or in daily traffic

Features

  • Multi-axis CNC machined and anodized stop body
  • Adjustment screw sits precisely square to the clutch fork for even contact
  • Stainless steel adjustment screw with lock nut holds your setting
  • Stainless steel mounting bolts included
  • Bolt-on installation, no permanent modification to the transmission
  • Fits both 5-speed and 6-speed Evo transmissions per the applications list below

The Details

On a pull-type clutch setup, the slave cylinder pulls the clutch fork rather than pushing it, and there is nothing limiting how far the fork swings back on release. Under fast pedal return, momentum carries the fork past its normal resting point, which is exactly when the throw-out bearing can unclip. Once that happens, the transmission has to come out to reseat it. The Radium stop bolts to the transmission and gives the fork a hard, adjustable limit. Because the body is machined on multiple axes, the screw meets the fork squarely instead of at an angle, so the contact point does not wear or wander. Installation is straightforward: bolt the stop in place with the included stainless hardware, set the screw gap to the fork, and lock it down with the lock nut. No pumps, no plumbing, no wiring. Everything needed is in the box.
