Description

Direct injection with no port injectors to wash the valves. The crankcase vent is where the deposits come from.

The Radium Engineering CCV Fluid Lock catch can kit for the 2020 and newer VW Golf intercepts oil and water condensation on the crankcase vent circuit before they reach the intake. Closed loop, so it does not vent to atmosphere: filtered air routes back to the engine to be burned, keeping it emissions and track legal.

What You'll Feel

  • An intake tract that stays clean on an engine with no port injection to wash it
  • Fluid Lock protection: the can cannot overfill and dump contaminants back into the intake
  • A closed system that passes tech and keeps oil smell out of the cabin
  • Easy inspection through the O-ring sealed dipstick

Features

  • Patented Fluid Lock system preventing reservoir overfill
  • 7 fluid ounce can with O-ring sealed dipstick
  • Large 10AN ORB inlet and outlet ports, 4AN ORB drain port
  • 2-step oil separation baffling
  • Vehicle specific anodized mounting bracket

The Details

This is the crankcase vent side, which sits at atmospheric pressure at low load but flows hard out of the crankcase at wide open throttle, sending oil into the intake tract. On a turbocharged direct injection engine that is also what coats the intercooler core, and oil there measurably lowers heat exchange efficiency.

No fixed emptying interval applies: check the dipstick at three to four weeks and set your own schedule. Excessive collection points at the engine rather than the can.
