When the brake pedal is depressed, not all the mechanical energy transfers into hydraulic brake line pressure; some is wasted flexing the thin firewall behind the master cylinder. The Radium Engineering Brake Master Cylinder Brace for the Nissan R32 Skyline installs on the strut tower (RHD) and eliminates that flex, allowing all of the pedal input force to be applied to stopping the vehicle for a firmer pedal and more responsive brake system. The billet aluminum design is lightweight yet very stiff, and because it is a 1-piece design there is no unwanted secondary flexing created by inferior multi-piece designs, while 3 mounting points on different planes promote reinforcement. Installation uses factory mounting threads and takes minutes, with no cutting, drilling, or modifications.

The Details

The physics are the same on every chassis and the execution details are where Radium earns the part: the preload bolt bridges brace to master cylinder, and its aluminum head exists because a steel bolt pressing on an aluminum cylinder galls and dents over years of stops, while the easy-on lock nut holds the set preload without a wrestling match. Fitment spans the R32 family, GT-R, GTS-T, and GTS-4 alike, all sharing the RHD firewall and strut tower geometry the brace was machined for.
