The Radium Engineering 8AN Universal DIY PTFE Hose Kit delivers carbon-lined PTFE hose in a black polyester braid with matched black anodized PTFE hose ends, ready to cut and build to your exact routing. The extruded fluoropolymer core rides in a stainless wire braid, tests to 1200 psi, and shrugs off every fuel you can buy, from pump gas to E85 to methanol. Build it once, forget about it.

The Details

8AN is the workhorse size for hanger-to-rail feed lines, surge tank outputs, and high-flow filter plumbing, which is exactly where hose failure costs the most. PTFE removes the failure modes rubber brings: no ethanol swelling, no age hardening, no vapor loss, and no reaction with any automotive fluid you are likely to run. The stainless braid carries the pressure load while the polyester outer keeps the braid from chewing on whatever it touches. Building the lines is straightforward with patience: cut square, keep the braid contained, assemble the two-piece hose ends around the core, and let the internal O-rings swivel the end while you clock it against its mating fitting. As with all Radium PTFE hardware, these hose ends only work with PTFE hose, never rubber. If your routing needs angles beyond what the kit supplies, Radium's straight, 45-degree, and 90-degree 8AN PTFE hose ends are available separately.
