The Radium Engineering 8AN 90 Degree PTFE Hose End is the building block for extending or repairing Radium PTFE hose assemblies: black anodized aluminum, made specifically for PTFE hose, with internal O-rings that let the end swivel freely during installation so you can clock the fitting after the joint is built. The 90 degree configuration is the tight-quarters answer when the hose must turn immediately off the port. Buy exactly the angles your routing calls for, one end at a time.

The Details

PTFE hose ends work differently than rubber-hose ends, which is why the two are never interchangeable: the fitting captures the fluoropolymer core mechanically as the two-piece body threads together, rather than biting into a rubber liner. Assembly rewards patience: cut the hose square, keep the stainless braid contained, seat the core fully, and thread the body together. The internal O-rings then earn their keep at installation, letting the assembled end rotate to meet its mating flare at exactly the right clock position before you tighten. Typical duty for the 90 degree configuration includes hard turns off rails, tank bulkheads, and firewall fittings. AN flare connections install dry and clean: hand thread to full engagement, then tighten 1/4 to 1/2 turn past bottomed out.
