An unused port is a leak with scheduling flexibility, unless it is plugged properly.

The Radium Engineering 6AN ORB Plug seals any female 6AN ORB (9/16"-18) port with the same architecture the rest of the system trusts: machined anodized aluminum threading in against an O-ring for a positive seal that reopens cleanly whenever the port's future arrives. Rails, regulators, surge tanks, and filter mounts all grow spare ports; this is what belongs in them meanwhile.

The Details

ORB plugs seal on the O-ring, so the install rule is identical to every ORB fitting: lubricate the ring with O-ring lube, petroleum jelly, or oil before threading in, snug it against the boss, and skip the sealant entirely. Inspect the O-ring any time the plug comes out, replacing on any nick or flattening, with Radium's O-ring multi-pack keeping spares on hand. Common homes include unused rail ports, regulator gauge ports awaiting sensors, and surge tank ports reserved for later staging. Sold individually.
