Description

The cheapest part in the fuel system, and the one that leaks if you use the wrong size or the wrong type.

Radium Engineering hose clamps in two families: EFI clamps for high pressure fuel work and spring clamps for low pressure PCV and coolant lines. These are the same clamps supplied in Radium fuel system parts and catch can kits, sold individually as replacements or for your own build.

Choose Your Clamp

  • EFI hose clamps: 9.5-11mm (18-0056), 11.5-13.0mm (18-0030), 12.5-14.0mm (18-0031), 13.5-15.0mm (18-0032), 14.5-16.0mm (18-0058)
  • Spring clamps: 1/4in (18-0036), 5/16in (18-0037), 3/8in (18-0038), 5/8in (18-0040), 3/4in (18-0041)

What You'll Feel

  • A 360 degree seal on fuel connections instead of a worm-drive clamp's uneven bite
  • Hose that survives removal, because rolled edges do not cut into it
  • Spring clamps that hold tension through heat cycles without retorquing
  • Corrosion resistance under the car and in the engine bay

Features

  • EFI clamps: 304 stainless steel, bolt design creating a 360 degree seal, rolled edges to protect soft hose
  • Spring clamps: zinc plated steel, constant-tension spring-action band
  • Neither type digs in and permanently damages hose the way worm-drive clamps do

The Details

Type matters more than size here. EFI clamps are for high pressure applications such as fuel injection, where the bolt design's even 360 degree seal is what prevents leaks. Spring clamps are what OEMs use on low pressure lines like PCV and coolant, because the spring band automatically expands and contracts as hose temperature fluctuates, so the clamp keeps tension through heat cycling without ever being retorqued.

On sizing, EFI clamps are specified by clamping range in millimetres, so measure the hose over the barb rather than on its own. Spring clamps are specified by nominal hose diameter instead.

Applications

  • Universal, fuel, PCV, vent, coolant, and vacuum hose
  • Replacements for clamps supplied in Radium fuel system parts and catch can kits

Important Notes

  • Sold each; order the quantity your install requires
  • Use EFI clamps on high pressure fuel connections and spring clamps on low pressure PCV and coolant lines
  • Measure the hose over the barb to select the correct EFI clamp range
