On an EcoBoost, the power ceiling is not the turbo; it is how much fuel direct injection can physically deliver.

The DI system that makes these engines efficient also caps them, since the high-pressure pump runs out of delivery long before a built EcoBoost runs out of airflow, especially on E85. The Radium Engineering EcoBoost Port Injection Kit (PIK) adds a second fuel stage: a 25mm CNC machined 6061 aluminum spacer plate installs between the intake manifold and cylinder head carrying four port injector positions, fed by a custom 6063 rail with a large 0.69" bore and three 8AN ORB ports. The kit supplements the OEM direct injection rather than replacing it, so factory drivability stays while supplemental injectors carry the top end.

The Details

Staged port injection is the established answer to DI fueling limits, and the engineering here lives in the details most spacer kits skip. The 25mm plate's passages are machined to port-match both the manifold and head sides so the added thickness does not disturb flow, and the knife-edge divider actually improves the transition the factory head casting leaves blunt. System planning is on the builder: port injectors, an auxiliary fuel supply, and a controller or ECU strategy to command the second stage are all separate decisions, and the rail's three 8AN ORB ports accept the regulator, damper, or gauge adapters your architecture calls for, with Radium advising ample clearance around ports destined for larger accessories. Fittings are selected per application and sold separately.
