Description

A high-flow fuel pump wired through tired factory circuits is a voltage drop waiting to starve your engine.

Adding a surge tank pump or upgrading to a bigger in-tank pump means real current draw, and the factory wiring was never sized for it. The Radium Engineering DIY Fuel Pump Wiring Kit gives you everything to build a proper relay-switched power harness for one fuel pump, with a sealed relay and sealed in-line fuse holder that can live in weather-exposed areas. The aircraft-grade TXL wire shrugs off chemicals and heat, and the Raychem solder-based butt connectors make clean, reliable joints without a soldering iron. Do the wiring once, correctly.

What You'll Feel

  • Full battery voltage at the pump, which means the flow you actually paid for
  • No flickering or heat-soaked wiring worries on long pulls or hot track days
  • A tidy, purpose-built harness instead of a bundle of parts-store splices
  • Confidence mounting the relay and fuse in the engine bay or trunk, since both are sealed
  • An install you can finish in an afternoon with basic hand tools

Features

  • Complete DIY harness kit for powering one fuel pump (buy one kit per pump for multi-pump setups)
  • Sealed relay and sealed in-line fuse holder with 20A fuse, suitable for weather-exposed mounting
  • Aircraft-grade TXL wiring, resistant to chemicals and elevated temperatures
  • Raychem crimpless solder-based butt connectors for clean, reliable connections
  • Posi-Tap connector for tapping the factory trigger wire without cutting it
  • Ring terminals included, including terminals for connecting an external Bosch 044 pump

The Details

The kit works like any proper relay harness: heavy-gauge power runs from the battery positive terminal through the included 20A in-line fuse to the relay, and the relay switches that current to the pump. The trigger side taps your existing fuel pump circuit with the included Posi-Tap, which matters for two reasons. First, the ECU's fuel pump output retains its priming behavior and its safety cutoff at 0 RPM. Second, on surge tank installs, tapping the primary pump relay wire makes all pumps run together, which protects against a pump running dry or an unattended fire hazard. Radium's diagrams assume a 12V trigger, and if your car switches ground instead, the relay coil simply wires with the opposite pole to 12V. Assembly requires wire cutters, a stripper, a crimp tool, a pick, and a heat gun for the solder sleeves. This is a build-it-yourself harness cut to your car's exact routing, so plan your relay location and wire runs before you start. The pump itself is not included.

Kit Includes

  • 1x Sealed relay
  • 1x Sealed in-line fuse holder with 20A fuse
  • Aircraft-grade TXL wire
  • Raychem solder-based butt connectors
