Description

At wide open throttle the Coyote's crankcase breather flows hard, straight toward the intake pipe.

The Radium Engineering Crankcase Catch Can Kit for the 2015+ Ford Mustang GT intercepts that flow: the CCV catch can mounts on the front left engine bank and runs inline with the crankcase breather port. At low loads it experiences atmospheric pressure, but at high load (WOT) this hose experiences high flow out of the crankcase, which would normally lead to oil and sludge accumulation in the air filter intake pipe, and if the engine is turbocharged or supercharged, oil accumulation in the intercooler can lower the thermal efficiency of the heat exchanger and decrease performance. The kit mounts using factory holes on the valve covers, does NOT vent to atmosphere, and is emissions and track legal, with no cutting, drilling, or permanent modification required.

What You'll Feel

  • The intake pipe kept clean on an engine that exhales hard at WOT
  • Intercooler thermal efficiency protected on supercharged and turbocharged builds
  • Emissions and track legality from the closed-loop routing
  • Negative crankcase pressure promoted for ring seal and performance
  • A bolt-on install on factory valve cover holes, minutes not hours

Features

  • CCV catch can kit for the 2015+ Mustang GT (S550 5.0L Coyote); front left bank mounting
  • Closed loop, does not vent to atmosphere; functions independently of the PCV-side can
  • Includes anodized catch can with integrated condenser and dipstick, anodized laser cut Mustang GT specific bracket, anodized 8AN adapter fittings and hose ends, enough 1/2" PCV hose for custom applications, and stainless mounting hardware
  • No cutting, drilling, or permanent modification
  • 2015-2017 intake design; the 2011-2014 cars use the separate 20-0279

The Details

Ford split the Coyote's ventilation between the PCV valve side and this crankcase breather side, and the two kits exist separately because the duty splits by load: PCV vacuum dominates at idle and cruise while this CCV circuit carries the WOT flow, which is why Radium recommends the Dual Catch Can Kit combining both for complete coverage, with the 20-0267 PCV kit as this can's partner. The generation split is intake-design driven, with the 11-14 cars using the 20-0279 and this 20-0287 serving the 15+ intake. Service runs on the built-in dipstick, checked at 3 to 4 weeks initially, and drained on the engine's own schedule.

Kit Includes

  • 1x Anodized oil catch can with integrated condenser and dipstick
  • 1x Anodized laser cut Mustang GT specific mounting bracket
  • Anodized aluminum 8AN adapter fittings and hose ends
  • 1/2" PCV hose (enough for custom applications); stainless steel mounting hardware

Applications

  • 2015+ Ford Mustang GT (S550, 5.0L Coyote)
  • 2011-2014 cars use 20-0279; pairs with the 20-0267 PCV kit (dual kit: 20-0325)
