Description

Saturated carbon stops working. This brings the compact canister back rather than replacing it.

The Radium Engineering service kit for the compact fuel vent charcoal canister supplies fresh activated carbon and a new 150 micron strainer so a saturated compact canister can be disassembled and recharged. Filtration efficiency falls as the carbon loads up, and recharging restores it.

Features

  • Fresh activated carbon
  • New 150 micron strainer
  • Compatible with all 20-1827-xx compact canisters

The Details

The compact canister holds one fifth the activated carbon of the standard 20-1828, so it saturates sooner and this kit will be needed more often. There is no fixed interval; fuel odour returning at the vent exit is the practical sign the carbon has loaded up. If you find yourself recharging frequently, the standard canister is the longer-service alternative. For standard canisters, the matching kit is the 20-1828-SK.

Kit Includes

  • Replacement activated carbon
  • Replacement 150 micron strainer

Applications

  • All Radium compact fuel vent charcoal canisters (20-1827-00, 20-1827-08, 20-1827-12)

Important Notes

  • Not for the standard canister; that uses the 20-1828-SK service kit
