The Radium Engineering CCV Catch Can Kit for the Cadillac CTS-V intercepts that flow: the CCV catch can mounts to 3 OEM threaded bosses at the rear of the supercharger housing and runs inline between the crankcase vent ports and the intake pipe, retaining factory functionality. At low loads the can experiences atmospheric pressure, but at high load the vents flow heavily out of the crankcase, which would normally lead to oil and sludge accumulation in the air filter intake pipe, and oil accumulation in the intercooler lowers the thermal efficiency of the heat exchanger and decreases performance. This kit features Radium's Fluid Lock catch can with 2-step baffled internals, installing as a closed loop that stays emissions and track legal.

The Details

The LSA's crankcase ventilation splits its duty by load, with the PCV circuit dominating at idle and cruise while the CCV side carries the WOT flow this kit intercepts, which is why Radium recommends the CCV and PCV kits together for the most protection, packaged as the dual kit. No extra inline check valve is required since Radium catch cans are pressure sealed. Service runs on the dipstick, with the collected mixture of oil, fuel, and condensation drained on the engine's own schedule, and excess collection serving as an early diagnostic. The intercooler-efficiency argument is the supercharged car's specific stake: every film layer inside the heat exchanger costs charge temperature, and charge temperature is power.
